Studio HANS

Hannah Pater (1996), working under the name Studio HANS, creates photographic art with a feminist and activist character. Her work explores people, bodies, and imperfection, translating social, political, and personal questions into powerful images. As a self-taught photographer, she combines her background in theatre with photography, using mise-en-scène and composition to find new ways of capturing stories and emotions.

Dicht op de huid

Studio HANS

With Dicht op de huid, Studio HANS explores the personal stories, feelings and experiences people carry in relation to their bodies. Through memories, comparisons and personal reflections, they share how they experience their bodies and what their bodies mean to them. Their stories touch on feelings of connection and strength, as well as distance, alienation, doubt and discomfort. The portraits reveal the complex and changing relationship we have with our bodies. They show moments of distance, comfort and uncertainty, and how these feelings can shift over time. Together, they create an intimate reflection on how we see, experience and relate to our own bodies.
