“I work with many different media, and for the exboot I intend to develop this work so that it is custom made for the space.
An installation consisting of small works made in different media that exist/breath with the space so that they don’t over power it, no structural alterations made to the space beside maybe a few screws in the wall. My intention for the work is for it to be a welcomed visitor, keeping into account the history and present of the space it is in.”

Circumambulation (van het Latijn circum: rondom en ambulātus: lopen) is de handeling van het bewegen rond een heilig voorwerp of afgod.Circumambulation als werktitel en beschrijving van praxis, een reeks nieuwe werken waarmee Lapis in augustus 2022 na haar afstuderen is begonnen. Met deze nieuwe serie wil zij de kern van het onderwerp van zijn werk omcirkelen, ervoor altijd omheen bewegen maar niet aanraken. Ze wil de handeling van het rondcirkelen gebruiken als een manier om gemakkelijk gewonde onderwerpen, broze materiële omstandigheden en gevoelige emotionele realiteiten te eren en te benaderen.
